Perhaps Celia’s inspirations span so many different looks because she’s had the opportunity to live in a few different countries. She studied advertising and public relations in Madrid as well as fashion communication in Milan. She designed and sold jewelry in Ibiza at one point. She even lived in Shanghai for a decade, which is actually where Celia B. the brand was launched in 2012.

For the last year-and-a-half, she’s brought color, texture, pattern, and life to a 1500-square-foot, two-bedroom apartment in Oviedo, Spain. According to Celia, the apartment is located in a building that’s over 100 years old and designed by the famous Spanish architect Manuel del Busto.

“The apartment had been empty for 50 years, so it had many original elements like floors, doors, and ceilings,” Celia writes. “I loved the terrace with views of the cathedral, and the three windows in the living room.”

It took an 11-month-long renovation to create the colorful, cozy, and vibrant space that is Celia’s home today.

“I wanted to honor Manuel del Busto’s work and keep as many original elements as possible, but also add my very unique colorful vision and make the interior of the house a Caribbean getaway with colors that would remind me of the architecture from there,” Celia writes.
