This Colorful, Eclectic Italian Apartment’s Located in a 145-Year-Old Former Nunnery
Sara bought this 1023-square-foot apartment — located in a 145-year-old former nunnery in Sondrio, Italy — 11 years ago. Before she moved in, it had just been renovated, and Sara had the opportunity to choose the builder materials.
The three-bedroom apartment is quite spacious for just one person and a dog (named Sniffy), and Sara admits she was lucky to be able to buy an apartment where she can “unwind in my off time, reading, gardening, doing yoga, and rearranging furniture and objects all around the place,” Sara admits.
“My home is the place where I can feel safe, relaxed, surrounded by the things I love,” she continues.
“My book and art collections talk about what my main passions are in life; I do recognize myself in my place, because a few years ago I gave myself permission to embrace my tastes without too many doubts.”
