This Eclectic Brooklyn Rental Proves Maximalism Can Be Ultra Cozy
For four years, Araceli and her wife have been renting this 800-square-foot railroad-style apartment in Brooklyn. Located in a building from 1931, they pay $2475 a month in rent.
“This is the first apartment where me and my wife moved in together,” Araceli begins. “Shortly after we adopted our two cats and I could not imagine my life without my three loveys.”
Araceli says the apartment, before they moved in, definitely had potential, but not much else in the way of style. The couple had to not only find ways to add personality to the space, but since it’s a railroad-style layout, they also had to find narrow furniture.
After installing wallpaper, adding storage, and furnishing with a collection of vintage finds, Araceli describes the home as maximalist and cozy.
“I’m so happy to come home to my apartment,” Araceli writes.
