Maybe you’ve just bought a new house, or maybe you’ve decided you want your current home to feel a bit refreshed — either way, you’re ready to embark on a major painting project. Congrats! Now comes the equally fun and scary part: Deciding on a color palette.

This step can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be. Benjamin Moore® created a collection of “whole-home” color palettes to make the process of choosing paint easier. Not only does each palette showcase a curated selection of colors, but it also provides advice on which hue should go where, eliminating the guesswork so you can focus on the fun. Here are three of our favorites.

Palette #1: Coastal Minimalism

For a relaxed coastal vibe (whether you’re near the ocean or not), you’ll love this color palette. It’s anchored by Sea Salt CSP–95, a nuanced off-white that Benjamin Moore recommends using on kitchen and living room walls for a neutral canvas. Go darker in the bedrooms and bathrooms with varying shades of blues and greens, like Cable Knit Sweater CSP–650 and Kensington Green 710. Finally, lean into the beach theme and use the deep Bermuda Turquoise 728 for accents. We can practically smell the salt air from here.

Palette #2: Urban Moody

Prefer something a little more dramatic? Consider this elegant color palette anchored by Stunning 826, a dark blue with violet undertones that Benjamin Moore recommends for dining room walls and kitchen cabinets. Add a moody feel with muted purples Mauve Blush 2115–40 in the bedroom and Bonne Nuit AF–635 in the bathroom. Then, scale back just the right amount with neutrals like Gentle Gray 1626 on the kitchen walls and Wish AF–680 in the hallways. The result is a cozy yet sophisticated look.

Palette #3: New American Classic

For added warmth, opt for this color palette that revolves around Carob AF–160, a warm brown hue that’ll look extra welcoming in your entryway and set the tone for your home. Continue the theme with Twilight Gold 1069 in the living room and Venetian Portico AF–185 in the bedrooms and bathrooms, then complete with cream and white accents throughout. For the kitchen, add some color to the cabinets with Van Courtland Blue HC–145.

Once you have a color palette squared away, you can focus on choosing the right premium Benjamin Moore paint finish for your space. For homes with pets and kids, consider Regal® Select Interior, which offers scuff- and stain-resistance that’s ideal for high-traffic areas. For a truly elevated look, go with Aura®, which has an extra-pigmented formula for truly eye-catching results. And if you’re still feeling a bit intimidated by your whole-house project, opt for the Ben line, which promises an effortless application experience with an easy-to-maintain finish. All three are premium options, trusted by painters for generations.

No matter what your home transformation entails, make it a little easier with Benjamin Moore’s whole-home color palettes. You can browse even more options on Benjamin Moore’s website and on Pinterest.
