When you have a small living space like I do, it can be hard to find a place to store everything. That can often mean keeping a lot of items visible (instead of tucked away into spare rooms you don’t have), which is fine, but sometimes you want your living room to look a bit more sophisticated and less like an art installation of everything you’ve been doing that day.

If you have pets, this can be even more true — you don’t always want guests walking into a room where your pet’s food bowls, toys, and accessories distract from the nice furniture you spent time picking out. So, it’s great when something you get for your pet looks good enough to keep out — especially if it’s super affordable like this bouclé pet bed from Aldi.

What Is the Aldi Heart to Tail Orthopedic Bouclé Pet Bed?

Part of Heart to Tail, Aldi’s in-house line of pet products, this orthopedic pet bed retails for $24.99 and provides a cozy lounging spot for your four-legged pal. It has a rectangular shape and raised, cushioned edges, so your cat or dog has a space to rest their head or legs, which is nice for any creature but can be especially good for older pets — Aldi’s site says the bed is “filled with a supportive and cushioning foam” that can “alleviate the painful pressure on your pet’s muscles and joints.”

The bed measures 28 inches by 20.9 inches, and, judging by the product photo, it’s meant more for cats and small- or medium-size dogs. Orthopedic products for humans aren’t necessarily known for looking chic, and I’d assume orthopedic pet products would meet the same fate. But the Aldi pet bed’s bouclé design gives it a subtle, eye-catching appearance that would be right at home with the rest of your furniture — especially near a couch or loveseat. Plus, the beige color means it should match a range of neutral color palettes. Of course, pets can be messier than humans, but the bouclé cover can be removed and is machine-washable.

A Pet Bed Alternative if You Can’t Get to Aldi

If you don’t live near an Aldi, don’t want to make the trip out, or just can’t find this particular pet bed at your local store, then you can find a similar version by Bedsure on Amazon. It has a ridged corduroy design instead of bouclé, but it comes in seven different colors and five different sizes, from 20 inches by 19 inches (the smallest) to 43 inches by 30 inches (the biggest). It’s also quite well-reviewed.

The color that’s most similar to the Aldi bed is Sandy Beige, and the closest size is 30 by 24 inches. This size pet bed will run you about $50, although the prices vary depending on color (and some options are on sale for Black Friday, which brings the price down closer to $30).
