Aldi is Selling a $6 Summer Gem That’ll Keep You Cool Anywhere (It’s Cheaper than Last Year!)

Keeping cool during a summer heat wave is hard enough even when you’ve got your AC or your DIY ice fan cranked up to its maximum power, let alone when you’re on the go. Personal fans are must for taking the edge off scorching temperatures, as I recently discovered during a particularly brutal Palm Springs hike. And now, Aldi is bringing back a cute hands-free version that is super affordable — and may be a game-changer for your summer commute. 

Aldi’s Crane USB Rechargeable Neck Fan costs just $6 and comes in several different colors: green, navy, orange, and light blue.  I like the hands-free and portable design — unlike most personal fans, which require you to hold them in front of your face to take advantage of their cooling power, Aldi’s neck fan leaves your hands free by resting on your shoulders. The compact gadget features two fans on either side, ensuring you’re getting gusts of cool air blown on your face and neck from two angles.
