Aldi Is Selling a $20 Bamboo Ladder That’s Perfect for Blanket Storage

No matter where you live or what your home looks like, you have to store all your stuff somewhere. Maybe you’re blessed with a living space awash in cabinets and closets, but that’s not the case for everyone — especially if you live in a small apartment. Your tiny trinkets can be more easily stashed away, but some belongings, like blankets, are destined to take up a bit of room no matter what. One easy fix for blanket storage? Use a storage ladder placed against your wall. And there’s a great one for sale at Aldi right now.

This Aldi ladder isn’t meant to help you change a lightbulb, but rather it gives you five rungs of vertical storage that’s perfect for soft, bulky items like blankets and towels. It comes in two main colors — black or white — but no matter which color you go with, the rungs will be light bamboo wood. Unlike a standard ladder used for chores or housework, this ladder has a more luxurious look to it, with clean lines and an arch at the top. And unlike a shelf, it doesn’t require any mounting or installation — just set it against the wall of your choice! 

Like many of Aldi’s products, cost is a major selling point here. I’ve considered getting some kind of ladder-style storage for my apartment, but have been hesitating due to the prices I came across. A ladder of this size (it’s 72 inches tall, 20 inches wide, and a little over one inch thick) for just $19.99 is quite the deal — especially one that has such an elegant appearance. It’s also quite versatile. Each rung can hold up to 11 pounds of weight, so you can pack on the blankets and towels. If you already have dedicated blanket storage, feel free to use it for anything you desire, from scarves and jackets to all your stray charging cables.

Because you can’t order Aldi products online, the only way to get your hands on this ladder is by going to a physical Aldi store. If you don’t live by one or don’t have time for an additional errand, there is a similar storage ladder available on Amazon. 

The Navaris bamboo towel ladder does look more like a standard utilitarian ladder than the Aldi version; it has a more rustic wooden look and there’s no arch at the top, but there are six rungs instead of Aldi’s five. You can still choose from two color options: light wood or white. It’s a similar size (67 by 22 by 1.18 inches), but costs more at $44.59.
