With the holiday season looming, you may be looking for an extra touch of hospitality ahead of any parties you’re hosting. Look no further than Aldi to find some of the best (and affordable) holiday hosting must-haves, including this portable storage cart that can easily upgrade any room in your home, while making setup and cleanup so much easier.

What Is the Aldi SOHL 3-Tier Rolling Cart?

The SOHL 3-tier rolling cart from Aldi is exactly what it sounds like: a cart on wheels with three levels to it. This is essentially a chic set of metal shelves on lockable wheels, and better yet, it comes in a pleasant mint green color.

The dimensions aren’t listed on the Aldi website, but this post by Oh Hey Aldi on Instagram shows that the cart, which retails for $24.99, measures 17.75 inches long, 13.75 inches wide, and 30.75 inches tall. Each metal basket is equally sized and holds “up to 33” pounds, so in total, you can pack about 100 pounds of stuff onto this handy little cart. (It also comes in white and black, if mint green isn’t your jam.)

As for what to use it for, the possibilities are endless, but since the holiday season is about to be in full swing, let’s focus on that. Use it to wheel in gifts (or wrapping paper, tape, and bows for gift preparation). Fill it with glasses, napkins, utensils, and small plates for a serve-yourself station at your next gathering. You could even clear the clutter off your tables and quickly wheel it into another room before the party starts, just so long as you actually deal with it later.

Alternatives to Shop if You Can’t Get to Aldi

Aldi has become pretty common throughout the U.S., but if you happen to live somewhere without one (or just don’t want to deal with holiday traffic), there are several similar options for this three-tier rolling cart. First, there’s the RÅSKOG utility cart from IKEA. It’s similar in size, price, and appearance to the Aldi cart, but doesn’t have the curved handles up top or the mint green hue, though it comes in a gray-blue color. It also has a much lower weight limit — 40 pounds total, or 13 pounds per shelf — and retails for a steeper $39.99 (though it’s reduced to $29.99 until October 19).

Over at Wayfair, the Ebern rolling utility cart ($28.99) comes in multiple shades, including green. It has similar dimensions to the others but is made of plastic rather than metal. However, it does come with extra accoutrements including hooks, detachable mini baskets, and a sliding drawer. It doesn’t reveal how much weight each tier can hold, however, so your mileage may vary.
