Aldi’s Latest Gem Is Flying Off the Shelves (It’s So Sweet!)

My favorite home stores have already transitioned into an autumnal display of nubby-textured sherpa furniture, cozy festive throw blankets, and, of course, pumpkin-themed offerings. I must have overlooked the fall memo, though, because I seemed to have missed the coolest fall offering so far from Aldi — a pumpkin-shaped coffee table centerpiece that will make your home smell like fall.

For just $12.99, Aldi’s Hotel Collection Sweet Pumpkin Pie candle looks like a quiet luxury find — and it’s one of the easiest and most affordable ways to create a fall tablescape on your kitchen table or island. The candle, which looks like the outline of a light wooden pumpkin with white wax inside, is also perfect to display on your coffee table or a TV console. While the candle doesn’t appear to be on Aldi’s website right now, several Instagram home creators, including @Weir_Home and @HomebyLaura, shared videos of them stumbling upon the gorgeous autumn find in stores. @Weir_Home also confirmed that the sweet pumpkin pie scent “smells unreal.”

In Aldi’s Aisle of Shame Facebook group, one person also revealed they’d found glass Aldi pumpkin candles from the retailer’s Kirkton House line that are available in either dark green or reddish orange. The decorative glass gourds are etched with colorful leaves and come with glass tops, as well as two different scents (pumpkin spice and the “fall leaves” version). 

Unfortunately, Aldi secretly released its fall decor collection a few weeks ago, so there’s definitely a chance that these cute pumpkin candles are sold out at your store if shoppers decided to embrace the autumn vibes a little early. 

However, At Home is selling a near-identical candle from Honeybloom, which also comes in a warm wooden container and is shaped like a pumpkin. Unfortunately, the $29.99 Pumpkin Carvings & Hayrides Scented Jar Candle is almost double the cost of Aldi’s version, but it’s 25 ounces, giving you plenty of burning time all season.
