Aldi Is Selling Soft and “Spooky” Throw Blankets for $5, and I Want All 6 Designs

While I’m not quite ready to swap out my Summer I Turned Pretty episodes and lazy August beach days for Gilmore Girls reruns and pumpkin spice lattes, “Summerween” has officially landed in stores — and is making a strong case for embracing the spooky season vibes a little early. Case in point: Aldi’s Halloween throw blankets, which cost just $5 a piece while making your eerie movie and rerun nights so much cuter.

As part of Aldi’s Halloween Collection this year, the superstore just released $4.99 50×60-inch throw blankets in six different designs, including this standout festive pumpkin checker one. The cozy throw blankets add a pop of Halloween spirit to your living room, reading nook, or bed without looking childish or obnoxious, thanks to alternating checks of warm orange pumpkins against a soft cream background next to whimsical cream grinning jack-o’-lanterns on an orange backdrop. 

There’s also a simple black ghost blanket, a pink ghost print, one with spiderwebs, a lilac black cat and pumpkin version, and a cream black cat and pumpkin blanket. Not only does it officially alert any visitors that your home has officially transformed from a Nancy Meyers-coded space into a Halloween (and fall)-friendly zone, but this cute blanket is also the perfect companion to your spooky night spread of spiked apple cider, popcorn, and ghost cupcakes. As you and your friends cozy up on the couch for another Hocus Pocus marathon, you don’t have to worry about food or drinks falling on your throw, thanks to its machine-washable 100% polyester material.

The $24.99 Serafina Home Store’s Halloween Throw Blankets are made out of a velvet fleece material and feature a parade of different spooky season-themed prints featuring little ghosts, bats, pumpkins, and skeletons. 

There’s also a fall-themed gingham-printed one that’s more understated. Reviewers are fans of the “very fuzzy and warm” material while still lauding the “adorable” blanket for being “lightweight” and “perfectly sized.”
