The weather is finally warming up enough for green thumbs to start getting serious about their garden plans. And if raised garden beds are on your to-buy list for summer 2025, then it’s time to hit up Aldi. The grocery store has a wooden raised bed in its famed “aisle of shame” for just $40, so you can save on planters to splurge on plants.

Why You Should Buy Aldi’s Raised Garden Planter

Depending on your location, planting flowers, herbs, and veggies in raised beds could be much more effective than planting them in the ground. For example, if you have sandy, acidic, or rocky soil around your home, it’s probably hard to plant a thriving garden. You may not even have a yard to grow in, but with a raised planter you can turn any outdoor area into garden space — even if it’s just a concrete slab!

Aldi’s raised bed from Belavi is awesome for gardeners of all levels because it’s on legs and about waist-high. This allows for easy planting and harvesting without having to crouch, and it drains properly after each watering.

The bed is just over 33 inches long and 16 inches wide, which makes it great for herbs, small tomato plants, or a collection of your favorite flowers. It has a natural wood finish and metal shoes at the end of each leg to protect the wood from moisture.

If your local Aldi is already sold out of the Belavi planter, check out this one from Walmart as an alternative. It’s only $10 more than the Aldi one, but has similar measurements. It also comes with a liner you can add under your soil and drainage holes to keep the soil dry and prevent root rot.

Raised beds may be the perfect addition to your garden this year. They can go anywhere in your yard or outdoor space and will help you grow delicious food and beautiful flowers despite potential less-than-ideal growing conditions!
