If you kept a log of every type of shoe you’ve worn throughout your life, which type would come out on top? For me, I’m 90% sure it would be boots. Since getting my first pair of Doc Martens in early high school, I’ve been more or less a boot loyalist. When you wear boots all the time, you start to become very aware of how much room they take up when they’re not on your feet, especially when you have a small closet or no closet at all. So, I was excited when I found a boot organizer on Amazon that neatly contains as many as five pairs of boots and only takes up a bit of room in your closet.

What Is the Boot Butler Boot Rack?

The Boot Butler Boot Rack, which retails on Amazon for $55.99, is a unique way to hang up multiple pairs of boots. Conceptualized by a “custom closet designer,” it comes with multiple hanging mechanisms that you slide into your boots, so both shoes can hang on a single hanger. It’s similar to how shoes are displayed at the store. Once you’ve loaded up your boots, you hang the hangers on a bigger hanger that extends down vertically. It’s almost 52 inches tall, 18.5 inches wide, and 6.7 inches deep.

I first saw this handy creation in a video by Elnaz Hamai on TikTok. She clearly demonstrates how to insert the hanging mechanism into pairs of thigh-high boots, Chelsea boots, hiking boots, and beyond. Then, each pair gets snugly nestled into the main hanger, and when that’s hung up, you see how each pair is vertically displayed on one handy hanger in a closet. Because you store them in a vertical line, you see every pair at once. I’ve completely forgotten about some shoes in my possession because they ended up in the back corner of my closet, so this seems like a very smart design.

Why the Boot Butler Boot Rack Is So Convenient

You’d expect that something capable of storing five pairs of boots would take up a lot of room. However, vertical storage can be very efficient, and one Amazon reviewer says the Boot Butler is actually only “as big as a bulky winter coat.”

“My boots are HAPPY!” they continue. “They slide right on and have their own happy home now.” They’re not the only ones. “I put it together in a matter of a few minutes and found it to be the best boot storage system I have ever owned,” another reviewer says. “I immediately ordered a 2nd one.”
