If shopping was a sport, then Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days would be the Olympics. The two-day sale feels like a long-haul endurance event. There are deals on everything from home finds to organization essentials and bed frames, and if you don’t go in with a strategy, you could easily get overwhelmed by it all and overspend in the process.

Fortunately, the Apartment Therapy team has played this game before. I asked them what they’re buying from the sale, and they dug through the deals to reveal the buys they’ve added to their personal shopping carts (I even added some of my own picks for good measure). If you’re gearing up to shop, consider these editor-approved deals for your starting lineup.

Philips Hue A19 LED Smart Light Bulb, 3-Pack
$110$75

“I am relatively new to the delights of a smart light bulb, but now that I glimpsed the good life, I'm not going back!” says Lifestyle & Special Features Editor, Sofia Rivera. “You can do all kinds of cool things with it, like use voice control to adjust the lighting or design an automated lightscape that will change throughout the day. But my favorite feature is how many colors each bulb can turn (literally millions). It's such a fun way to instantly set a mood, and I love a warm orange glow for a cozy atmosphere.”

Mackenzie-Childs Pumpkins, Set of 2
$250$150

Prime Big Deal Days are a great time to stock up on seasonal decorations, according to Zee Krstic, AT’s Senior Home Editor. He has his sights set on this stylish set of resin pumpkins by Mackenzie-Childs. “It’s an adorable Halloween set,” he says. “I love that I can use it year after year. It’s timeless!” The striped and checkered design is bold and playful, and comes in a bunch of fun colors, too.

Toniebox 1 Audio Player Bundle
$160$80

"When it comes to big sales like this one, I start thinking about Christmas presents,” says Shopping Writer Megan Gray. "Number one on my list is a Toniebox. My sons love theirs so much, I know that it's going to be a slam dunk for my 5-year-old niece. It's a screen-free storytelling toy that provides hours of entertainment (win-win)." The Toniebox is a whopping 50% off the usual $160 price tag — a deal too good to miss!

Brita Water Pitcher
$41$28

Editors are shopping smart by stocking up on household items we’d have to buy anyway, like this Brita Water Pitcher. “I buy a new one every fall,” Zee says. The brand’s Elite model reduces up to five times the contaminants compared with their standard filter, for cleaner, better tasting water. It’s easy to fill and fits in most apartment fridges, too.

Our Place 6-in-1 Wonder Oven
$185$155

"From the moment I saw the Wonder Oven (which our editors love), I was smitten,” Megan says. “The design is so pretty, plus I've been wanting to buy an air fryer and replace my old toaster oven, so it's perfect (it also bakes, roasts, reheats, and broils!). Its petite footprint is a bonus for my small kitchen, and it comes with a wire rack, toxin-free nonstick bake pan, air fryer basket, and crumb tray!"

Kleenex Ultra Soft Facial Tissues, 8 Boxes
$20$17

“Realistically, I tend to buy things in bulk that are practical and often cheaper than other retailers,” Zee says. “Things like this Kleenex mega pack in advance of cold and flu season.” Which is honestly so smart. You’ll never regret having tissues on hand as the seasons change, gatherings ensue, and runny noses are pretty much guaranteed. This set includes eight boxes of the brand’s extra gentle tissues, ensuring you’ll never run out (and even have spares to share!).

Aeitto Countertop Nugget Ice Maker
$470$210

"I love ice-cold drinks, so when I moved into my new apartment, I was so bummed to realize the freezer didn't have an ice maker,” says Katie Maguire, Director of Shopping Content Strategy.I'm going to take advantage of this major deal (55% off!) and snag this countertop nugget ice maker so all of my drinks taste extra delicious." What’s more, it works wicked fast, churning out your first round of ice in only five minutes. The 1-liter water tank is huge if you’re a frequent host, too, so everyone gets a cold glass.

happimess Roland Mini 2.6-Gallon Trash Can
$58$50

It’s not the sexiest purchase ever, but trash cans are oddly expensive, which is all the more reason to grab one during the sale. I have the Happimess Betty Trash Can (which is also discounted right now!) and love its stylish, retro look, so I’m buying this smaller version for my bathroom. The step-pedal design just makes sense, and the soft-close lid doesn’t clang closed like other trash cans. The bright color options really have my heart, though, and the Flamingo Pink shade is stunning (weird to say about a trash can, but true).

Bedsure Olive Green Duvet Cover, Full
$30$25

“I snagged this recently for my guest bedroom, and the quality for the price is outstanding,” says Charli Penn, AT’s Editor-In-Chief. “The olive green color is so rich, and it’s supersoft to the touch. My guest enjoyed sleeping in it, and I’ll be grabbing a few extra colors while it’s on sale. Bedsure’s bedding never disappoints!” Plus, the brand’s bedsheets (that editors also love!) can be yours for only $13 during the sale, so you might as well make it a set.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Acorn Spice All-Purpose Cleaner Spray, Pack of 3
$20$13

As a devoted Mrs. Meyers fan, I’ll be taking this opportunity to buy the brand’s All-Purpose Cleaning Spray in a three-pack as I’m constantly running out. Not only do they smell great, they tackle all kinds of messes with ease. I use mine everywhere from my stovetop to my kitchen and bathroom counters. The Acorn Spice scent in particular is perfect for fall and makes cleaning a much more enjoyable experience (priceless!).

Electrolux Handheld Steamer
$80$60

“Best. Steamer. EVER!” Charli raves about this Electrolux Steamer. “It heats up in seconds and can handle any wrinkled mess my dryer spits out.” The powerful handheld steamer doesn’t leak or spill, and delivers 18 minutes of uninterrupted steam, eliminating the need for refills as you go. “Add it to your cart immediately while it's on sale again. I got mine on the last Prime Day!”

Loloi II Margot Collection Cloud Pile Rug, 8'6"x11'6"
$330$271

“I'm obsessed with the Loloi rugs!” says Jac Kenny, Senior Manager of Shopping Brand Partnerships. “I got one because my sister has it in her living room. They are the softest rugs! Also, super durable and easy to clean. I got this one as a runner in my apartment.” The stylish rug has a vintage look that’ll bring your whole space together and looks so much more expensive than it is.

HOTO Cordless Brushless Drill Tool Set
$200$140

“I’ve been looking for a cordless drill kit for a while now, and I came across the HOTO one on TikTok,” says Mila Hoang, Assistant Shopping Manager. “It's the sleekest tool set I have seen with its matte black design and LED screen. Plus, I am a real beginner when it comes to learning how to drill so I find the power mode screen display really helpful.” Consider me influenced!
