About Me
Daunnette Reyome is a Native model and activist from the UmoNhoN (Omaha) Indian Reservation in Nebraska. Her work has been featured in Teen Vogue and The Feminine Revolution, and she has collaborated with SXSW, the United Nations for their Day of the Girl, and BeMaverick Live, among other projects. She is also behind the award-winning documentary, "Against the Current," which focuses on trauma on the reservation and finding healing through Native American culture, which will be released in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys modeling and engaging high school and college students in Native American studies.
