Nestled in the busy city of Bangkok, Nor and Fon’s 700-square-foot condo is a serene retreat that seamlessly blends their shared passion for design. Nor, a set and graphic designer in the film industry — with a background in architecture — who recently worked on the new White Lotus series, and Fon, a creative force with a passion for interior design, have created a space that feels both personal and inspiring. Their home is more than just a place to live — it’s a canvas for their creativity and a reflection of their journey together.

The couple have lived in this condo for two years, but its charm was evident from the start. Fon discovered the apartment while Nor was working in another city, and although they initially hesitated due to its price, they soon realized it was the perfect fit. “This space immediately spoke to both of us,” Nor recalls. The condo’s standout feature is its sloped windows with louvres.

Nor and Fon’s approach to home decor is refreshingly organic. Their style draws inspiration from mid-century design, Japanese functionality, and Scandinavian aesthetics. Fon has a particular fondness for Scandinavian furniture and Japanese paper lighting, while Nor’s background in architecture adds layers of functionality and visual storytelling to their choices.

The couple frequently rearranges furniture to adapt to their evolving needs and moods. Plants are an integral part of the decor, bringing life to every corner of the apartment. The built-in wooden elements provide a warm foundation for their personal touches, creating a cozy yet dynamic atmosphere.

“This home is our creative canvas and sanctuary. The quality of natural light here is exceptional — something rare in modern Bangkok condos — and it transforms the space, making it feel alive and uplifting,” the couple share. “We’ve created distinct zones for all our passions: watching movies, listening to music, making coffee, and working from home. It’s not just a box to live in; it’s a space that breathes with us and adapts to our lifestyle.”

Nor and Fon’s story began in high school, where they first met before starting their relationship during university. Over time, they’ve collected items that resonate with them, creating a home filled with meaningful pieces. Their move to this condo marked a new chapter — one that prioritized generous room dimensions over the typical open-plan layouts of modern Thai apartments.

“At night, the view of the highway and port is fantastic; seeing the movement of other lives prevents us from feeling too isolated, yet it’s peaceful enough to maintain a sense of calm. We also love the sloped window corner where Fon has hung her favorite paper lamp,” Nor shares.

Fon spends a lot of time in that spot with a coffee and a book, and the quality of light has been particularly helpful when she’s faced depression in the past. “It genuinely helps heal her soul, along with having a space that truly feels like home.”

Their design inspiration is varied with Fon’s intuitive approach focusing on how the space should feel at any given moment, while Nor’s architectural training emphasizes functionality first, followed by aesthetics. Together, they draw from Japanese urban homes, Scandinavian simplicity, and film aesthetics to create a space that feels both practical and beautiful.

Their Instagram channel documents this journey — a mix of cozy corners, curated furniture pieces, and evolving layouts that reflect their shared love for design. What makes their condo special is how it mirrors Nor and Fon’s journey together. Every element tells a story — from the iconic sloped windows to carefully chosen furniture pieces — and creates harmony between work, leisure, and creativity. “It’s not just a box to live in,” Nor says. “It’s a space that breathes with us.”

Their home is more than just walls; it’s an ongoing creative project that represents their relationship — a testament to how thoughtful design can transform any space into something truly personal.
