There are trade shows — and then there are trade events. Having spent over a decade covering both, I can confidently say that this year’s IFA Berlin, a showcase for home tech and innovation, felt like the best of both worlds.

The halls at Messe Berlin were abuzz with all things innovation, tech, and AI, but unlike other shows I’ve attended, there were locals and families alike walking from booth to booth, providing invaluable real-time product feedback to companies. Students were bused in for the occasion to learn about the future of gaming, home appliances, tech, and even beauty and wellness. And at the heart of the convention center, the Sommergarten stage was a venue full of festival vibes, from live artist and DJ performances to podcast recording.

In between all the goings-on, I searched high and low for the best home products at this year’s IFA. Here’s what earned Apartment Therapy’s “Best in Show” seal — and what you should keep your eye out for. And just a quick note: IFA is a European trade show, so some things don’t always make it into the U.S. market right away (or at all). So keep that in mind as you build out your wish list.

DREO TurboPoly 707s Fan

Have you ever wished your fan could track your motion as you move — going from kicking back on the sofa, to at a desk working, and then down to the ground for an at-home yoga flow? Well, that’s exactly what Dreo’s TurboPoly 707s smart model does — using built-in sensors, it oscillates toward you as you move around, so you’ll stay breezy no matter what you’re doing. Combine that with its far-reaching circulation, six airflow modes, and nine speeds, and you pretty much have precision cooling.

It doesn’t hurt that this model is quiet, too. Download the Dreo app to control everything with the touch of your finger from your phone.

Bosch Built-In Robot Vacuum Cabinet

Hidden tech popped up all over the show, and any guesses at the number-one area of the home companies were trying to disguise things? The kitchen! Case in point: Bosch’s built-in robot vacuum cleaner, which the brand reps assured us journalists was more than just a proof of concept.

Bosch’s best-in-class robot vac will soon be able to dock itself seamlessly into an under-sink cabinet (with the appropriate retrofitting and/or new kitchen construction to make this all possible). This will likely be a European exclusive, as Bosch hasn’t sold its robot vacuums in America in recent years. Still, the sleekness of it all impressed me, and I imagine we’ll be seeing this kind of appliance camouflage in the U.S. soon.

ANKER Nano Power Bank (5K, MaGo, Slim)

Known for its impressively small and powerful chargers, ANKER has maybe outdone itself with the newish Nano Power Bank (5K, MaGo, Slim). It’s basically a super-slim power bank that offers Qi2 MagSafe compatible charging on the go quickly and efficiently. It promises to get an iPhone 16 Pro to 25% in just 42 minutes, and it does so without getting super hot, unlike other chargers on the market. You can also choose from a variety of fun colors to match your case (or mood).

Anthbot Genie 3000

At-home robot appliances really have advanced over the past few years, moving from vacuuming and sweeping to other household tasks like window cleaning and pool skimming. The latest robots, though, are taking on the yard. One of the standout models at IFA in this genre, the Anthbot Genie 3000, boasts no wire installation and a strong, uninterrupted GPS signal to make easy work of your lawn mowing.

It can auto-map your yard — or you can remote control map it (and switch in between these modes) — and it does a nice job of cutting and trimming with crisp, clean edges. Depending on the size of your yard, it might have to recharge to finish the job. But in the end, you just might retire your push mower for good.

Aurzen Zip Tri-Fold Mini Projector

Projection is now pocket-sized but still precise, thanks to the Aurzen Zip Tri-Fold Mini Projector. This mini unit is about the size of a wallet, but that doesn’t mean it can’t perform. Each of its folds packs power — the first has the world’s thinnest 8mm HD optical engine and the tiniest DLP microchip, the second fold is all about angle adjustment and stereo sound speakers, and the third fold houses the battery and base. Watch your favorite content just about anywhere you go with this tiny powerhouse!

Lepro TB1 Pro Lamp

If lighting is what brings the vibes for you at home, allow me to introduce you to Lepro’s TB1 lamp. This tabletop atom-shaped light can turn into just about any color (or colors!) of the rainbow with the touch of your phone. Set the scene for at-home activities by creating your own color pre-settings. New for this show? Now this popular light comes in the “Pro” model, which means it’s voice activated. This model should be coming to stores soon.

LG Signature OLED T

Ever feel like your TV majorly interrupts your killer view when it’s off? Or that all of its wires are a bummer? Then the LG Signature OLED T is for you. You can move this baby around your space and marvel at its transparent display technology and best-in-class picture and processing. It also might just be the world’s most aesthetically pleasing TV. At $60K, though, the price is certainly not cheap.

ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OMNICYCLONE

The robot vacuum cleaner, or RVC category, truly has advanced so much over the past few years, but some of the pain points of RVC cleaning still remain: mainly short run times due to battery life, and trouble navigating obstacles like flooring changes and transitions. ECOVACS DEEBOT X11 OMNICYCLONE just might be the answer to these issues.

Not only is it equipped with fast-charging technology to get larger vacuuming jobs done quicker (with more power banked during short charge cycles), the DEEBOT X11 can also navigate from room to room seamlessly, thanks to its new lever-powered adaptive climbing system that can clear thicker rugs and raised thresholds. This model also boasts improved suction and better design for getting into tight corners when vacuuming or mopping.

Bissell SteamWave Multi-Surface Wet Cleaner

The pet owners at Apartment Therapy are big fans of Bissell, and the brand’s legendary corded SteamWave unit is getting a revamp that’s set to launch later this month. What can you expect from the update? Sleeker design, a self-cleaning feature that flushes dirty water and messes from the unit automatically in between cleans, hi- and low-beam headlights that make spotting pet hairs and dust while tidying up even easier, and Bissell’s signature “0 Gap” or “ZeroGap” technology, which gives the model the mobility to clean right up to baseboards and walls.
