This Brooklyn Loft Studio Absolutely Exudes “Light, Playfulness, and Comfort”
Tracie Moore and her boyfriend, Jordan, are both creatives from Georgia who moved to New York three years ago to pursue careers in interior design and photography. They found this 700-square-foot studio loft in Brooklyn two years ago, and have been designing the apartment “one room at a time.” They recently completed the living room.
“Our apartment is a traditional brownstone that was renovated into a modern duplex,” Tracie begins. “Moving to New York from Atlanta, we spent months searching for the perfect place, and by the time we toured this apartment, I had completely given up hope. But we got it! Now I’m on a mission to transform this space into a home that feels just as warm and inviting as the one we had back in Georgia.”
“The goal for the space was to create an atmosphere of light, playfulness, and comfort. Looking back at where we started to where we are now, I can confidently say the goal has been achieved,” Tracie continues.
“I see myself and Jordan as creators who are unafraid to embrace boldness and individuality. Our apartment is definitely a reflection of who we are. The art in our space is primarily photos Jordan has shot, and the design is all me — making it the perfect blend of us both.”
