Why is your home the smallest, coolest space?
My loft is a verdant sanctuary, hidden in Portland’s historic Alphabet District. My vision was to create a casually elegant space to live and work, with enough room to entertain guests. I moved in with only a carry-on, so the majority of my furnishings were thrifted or gifted by friends. To maximize the living space and add privacy, I designed a separate mezzanine sleeping area.
How does your home reflect you?
Until now, I’ve lived a very scattered nomadic lifestyle, so this home represents a fresh start and reflects a new creative chapter in my life. It feels like the most authentic expression of my personal design style. Overall, I wanted to have a peaceful and cohesive environment, and incorporate the playful sophistication of the French Riviera, where I grew up.
