If your bathroom is feeling cramped and limited in storage options, it’s time to start thinking vertically. Like how big cities construct tall buildings, focusing your efforts on vertical storage can really help you make the most of the space in your home, especially if you’re working with less room than you’d prefer. If you’re always dealing with bathroom clutter, a multi-tier shelf like this one from Costco can be a big help.

What Is the Mesa 3-Tier Acacia Storage Shelf?

Available at Costco, the Mesa three-tier acacia storage shelf is made from unpainted, natural-looking slats of acacia wood and offers three storage shelves. It’s tall and slender with an open, minimalist design — almost like something you’d see at a luxurious spa. Exact dimensions aren’t listed online, but an in-store video by @costcohotfinds on Instagram showing the shelf both in and out of its box indicates that it measures approximately 15x24x34.5 inches, which should give you a decent amount of storage space. It also retails for $39.99.

The packaging shows the shelf being used in a bathroom to contain towels, jars of cotton swabs, bottles of bath products, and even mini plants. But if you’re all good on bathroom storage, this shelf looks neutral enough to go anywhere in your home. Several commenters on the video say they plan on using it in their laundry rooms.

An Alternative to Shop if You Don’t Have a Costco Membership

Not everyone lives near a Costco or has a Costco membership. If you’re one of these people and you’re seeking some extra storage, you can find a very similar three-tier acacia wood shelf at Walmart — and for $10 cheaper. The Walmart version costs $29.98 and looks nearly identical to the Costco one. It also has similar measurements: 15.35 inches long, 13.7 inches wide, and 35.4 inches tall. Each shelf tier can accommodate up to 15 pounds of items.

Online reviews for this Walmart shelf are generally positive. “Good quality. Easy to assemble. Very sturdy,” reviewer John C. writes. “I bought it for basement storage, but it looks good enough to be a display piece in any room.”
