Costco’s Selling a Dupe of the Cult-Favorite Hulken Bag (It Fits Way More Than a Regular Tote)

When you don’t have a car to tote all your groceries and shopping finds back home, a large carry-all bag is a must — especially one on wheels. If you’re a city dweller who primarily runs errands on foot, and you don’t want an extra arm workout, you’ve probably heard of the Hulken bag, a rolling tote that easily slips over your shoulder when not in use. It’s a cult-classic for a reason. And now, Costco has released a near-identical dupe for less than a third of the price of the $115 tote (it’s already drumming up excitement on TikTok!).

For $34.99 in Costco Warehouse locations, the CleverMade Foldable Tote Bag on Wheels is a total steal. Also available for $43.99 on Costco’s website, the heavy-duty bag has a shiny black exterior, four-wheel design, a front pocket for extra storage, a zippable top, and large straps with soft grip handles on the sides.

Whether you’re browsing HomeGoods for decor, stocking up on Trader Joe’s essentials for the week, or just toting your dirty clothes to your laundry machine, the CleverMade tote bag has 90 liters of capacity to hold everything you need. Instagram creator @CostcoNewDeals also touted the wheeled bag for sports events and farmers markets, making it perfect for your warm weather outings. 

The bag measures 14 inches in length, 18 inches in width, and 24 inches in height, and can hold up to 75 pounds in weight. When it’s not in use, it folds up in a compact design for easy storage (a bonus for city residents living in small spaces). 

But if you just want to get the real thing, the Hulken might be superior depending on your needs. Costco’s dupe is slightly smaller than the large size. The medium Hulken measures 12 inches in length, 16 inches in width, and 22 inches in height, while the large size is 16 inches in length, 20 inches in width, and 26 inches in height. The CleverMade tote bag can actually hold more weight compared with the large Hulken’s 66-pound limit.

Unsurprisingly, TikTokers are freaking out over the Hulken dupe find, with @facets.of.emeralds audibly gasping and joking she “forgot what [she] came to Costco for” as soon as she saw the bag. Meanwhile, @vrreyes2 revealed she had regrets about not buying the CleverMade tote bag when she saw it at her Costco location, twirling it around the aisle as the TikTok audio, “God, look at it. It’s perfect,” played in the background.
