It’s No Surprise This Gorgeous Costco Plant Is Restocked Year After Year
You know something’s a winner when a store keeps bringing it back year after year. Costco’s faux olive tree is definitely one such item. This 8-foot-tall faux tree was back in stock for spring (it’s unfortunately currently unavailable online already!), so you can get that lush green vibe without worrying about watering or repotting.
The tree is super easy to assemble, as Instagram user Gianna Tomeo recently demonstrated in a post. Just unpack the base, and stick the branches into the tree’s trunk. Then, use the wires inside the branches to fluff the tree to perfection.
“Immediately adds to cart,” one person wrote in the comments of Gianna’s post. Another said, “Wait!! I LOVE THIS.”
What makes Costco’s faux olive tree so great?
Unlike other faux plants that look like they’re made of plastic, Costco’s olive tree features many details that make it look like the real thing. From a hand-painted trunk to leaves made from a synthetic polymer that mimics nature, the tree also comes with realistic faux soil and a cream-colored planter that goes with nearly any aesthetic.
Because these trees are so lifelike, they’re on the pricier side. Costco members can grab them online for just under $500, which includes shipping. However, those who have purchased one say these trees are worth the investment, especially compared to faux trees of the same quality and size.
“I have been searching online and in stores for faux indoor trees for months. Nothing beats this tree,” one Costco shopper wrote in their review. “It’s tall, has multiple trunks instead of a single trunk, comes with a nice pot and nice fake dirt, and looks decently real. The price is a steal at $500. I saw more realistic trees that cost $1,000 but didn’t come with a pot and weren’t as tall. My wife and I bought two of these and are very happy with our purchase.”
If you’re not ready to commit to something so big and spendy, this smaller faux olive tree from All Modern is a great alternative at under $100. This one stands at just under 6 feet tall and comes with a similar white planter. It’s not quite as lush as the Costco version, but it’s a great option for smaller spaces.
Grab the Costco faux olive tree while it’s back in stock for yet another year, and see what all the hype is about. It’s an investment, but it will stand the test of time — no watering required!
