Costco Shoppers Are Buying Multiple of These Giant Succulent and Cacti Planters
If gardening isn’t your strong suit, then you may feel as though you’re stuck with a plain yard forever. But that’s just not true! All you need are plants that are easy to care for and require little to no maintenance, and Costco has just that. The warehouse store just rolled out giant potted cactus gardens that look so impressive and are incredibly easy to keep healthy. Just place them outside on your patio or balcony, and let them do their thing all summer long!
“I just spotted giant cactus and succulent gardens at Costco,” Laura from Costco Hot Finds on Instagram said in a recent video. “Each one is unique and the pots are stunning. I love that cobalt blue. These are 5.6-gallon pots, so they’re just huge. The plants all looked beautiful.”
Costco’s Giant Succulent and Cactus Gardens Are Great for All Plant Lovers
Each pot, which is available in-store only, is expertly arranged to give it a high-end, expensive look. But you can snag a single pot for just under $100, which is a total steal for what you’re getting. And because the pot isn’t ceramic, it’s much lighter to move around than standard ceramic pots, and it can also last longer in the elements.
People were quick to comment on Laura’s video. “I bought one several months ago at Costco and the pot is not ceramic ... but it's still alive I haven't killed it yet,” one Costco shopper wrote on Laura’s post. Another person wrote, “I bought two. They are beautiful.” And someone else added, “It’s like a massive succulent!!! This is so cool!”
Succulents and cacti don’t require much water compared to other plant varieties. They thrive in warm, dry climates, so you can leave these planters outside to catch some rays and get rained on to stay hydrated. If your succulents are looking a bit dry and brown in between rain spells, you can saturate their soil with water to give them some hydration.
If the planter is out of stock at your local Costco, you could try planting cacti and succulents in a similar-looking planter. However, if you’d rather have an arrangement pre-made, Pottery Barn has a beautiful succulent assortment in a large glass bowl. While it’s on the pricier side, the plants (which look deceivingly real) are actually plastic, so you’ll get to keep this arrangement forever without worrying about it.
Head to Costco to see if this massive cactus and succulent garden is in stock and treat yourself to an easy-to-care-for potted garden that even self-proclaimed brown thumbs can handle!
