Costco Is Selling a “Massive” Vintage-Inspired Tupperware Container for Just $13
As someone who frequents thrift shops and estate sales, I’m always on the hunt for specific brands from the 1970s, and one of my faves is Tupperware. Those groovy colors, and the fact that they’re undeniably practical? Sign me up!
Sometimes, you can find these beloved Tupperware pieces from the ’70s reissued as new pieces you can buy in stores. The latest vintage-inspired item that you should run, and not walk, to grab? This Tupperware XL Food Storage Container available at Costco, spotted on Instagram by @costcofam4u.
Why You Need This XL Tupperware Food Storage Container
It’s just the thing to store those extra-large food items, like an entire roast chicken, or in my case as a vegetarian, I might use it to stash a whole veggie lasagna or some giant blocks of tofu.
It’s been spotted for $13.49 in stores, but if you don’t have a Costco near you or if it’s already sold out, you can buy it on the Costco website at a higher price point. It’s amazing how much this new version looks exactly like the XL Tupperware containers of yore, currently being sold on eBay and Etsy.
Don’t Have a Costco Membership? Then Buy This Gem
If you don’t happen to have a Costco membership, or you simply can’t find this ginormous Tupperware in stores, you can shop for a different container on Amazon that’s just as sizable — it can hold 112 ounces and fit an entire rotisserie chicken — and made of glass.
If you love Tupperware, definitely keep looking for vintage versions out in the wild. And in the meantime, pick up this massive edition from Costco and marvel at the entire meal you’ll be able to store in it.
