Crate & Barrel has always been known as a furniture and decor store as well as a destination for outfitting your kitchen with everything you need for cooking and entertaining. So the brand’s latest collaboration with chef and restaurateur Daniel Humm of Michelin-starred Eleven Madison Park, which dropped today, feels like the perfect fit for where the brand has always met its customers — and where it continues to evolve.

What Is the Daniel Humm for Crate & Barrel Collection?

Marrying Crate & Barrel’s traditional-leaning design with Humm’s fondness for minimalism, this 30-plus-piece collection is a modern mix of furniture, glassware, dinnerware, linens, entertaining pieces, and cooking accessories and tools. Humm’s signature attention to detail for cuisine was channeled into the way these items were developed, from the nine glassmakers needed to perfect one handblown Montreux Wine Glass to the quiet luxury of the brass-framed glass doors on the Zurich Kombu Green Storage Cabinet.

Taken as a whole, the collection is intended to turn at-home dining into an experiential art form akin to dining in one of Humm’s acclaimed outposts. He’s channeled a lot of his aesthetic into these items, too.

You can see his appreciation of the Bauhaus school’s simplicity, which comes across in the handsome but straightforward silhouettes. And the line’s moody green palette is a direct reference to the iconic green marble at Eleven Madison Park.

In particular, the green marble pieces, from salt and pepper mills to utensil holders and beyond, will add a ton of character and charm to counters and tabletops. But they’re all designed to serve a purpose, too. The entire collection really straddles the line between form and function.

Available in stores and online today, the collection starts at just $9.95 and ranges up to $4,999 for the storage cabinet. I picked a few standout pieces to share with you here to make your shopping even easier.

What to Buy from the Daniel Humm for Crate & Barrel Collection

Geneve Green Marble Utensil Holder by Daniel Humm
$50

The cylindrical shape of this utensil holder might be simple, but the material makes it a stunner. Crafted out of solid green marble that’s been hand-turned, -cut, and -buffed, this piece looks way more expensive than it is.

Zephyr Carafe by Daniel Humm

Double-walled and made out of heat-safe and shatterproof glass, this carafe is perfect for your next gathering. When you pour your drink of choice in it, you’ll see the liquid appear to float in the design — talk about a party trick!

Family style apps, dips, and small plates haven’t been easier — or more elegant — to serve than with this stunning oak board that comes with four ceramic bowls. Set it in the middle of the table and let your guests help themselves.

Verbier Kombu Green Upholstered Dining Chair by Daniel Humm

Dark green lacquered wood legs meet creamy bouclé upholstery in this chic, French mid-century-inspired dining chair. I could see this style working with a slew of different tables to complete a casual elegant design scheme.

Aura Short Nickel Cast Brass Candelabra by Daniel Humm

Yes, this brass and nickel candelabra is an investment. But you won’t need much else decorating your table when you sit this sculptural statement piece on it. It’s the kind of item that stays in style for — and lasts — a lifetime.
