Apartment Therapy’s Decluttering Cure is a free program that’ll help you thoroughly declutter your home in just 14 days. It starts on Monday, September 22, 2025, and runs until Sunday, October 5, 2025. Participants will receive an assignment in their inbox every day, with each one focused on a specific decluttering task.
In the first week, you’ll start by setting up outboxes for all the items you’ll declutter, establishing some ground rules (and guiding principles), and taking on a few decluttering projects. By week two, you’ll be a decluttering pro and ready for bigger battles, such as creating a clutter-free bedroom and bathroom, tackling sentimental clutter, and even doing one thing to prevent future clutter from happening. We wrap up the program by taking care of all the things you’ve just decluttered and of course reflecting on all the hard work you put into your home.
Each assignment has a different level of difficulty — some are instant-gratification tasks or an easier lift, while others will require you to dig in more. You can follow every one to a T, or go down your own path. After all, this decluttering process should be adapted to your own needs, so feel free to alter a task, skip a day, or spend extra time on one. Take things one step at a time and do only what you can!
