Nominated for an Oscar this year for her starring role in 2024’s The Substance, Demi Moore is underrated when it comes to the world of celebrity home decor. Her space is filled with quirky items like a huge wooden horse statue and an eccentric sheep tapestry, as daughter Tallulah Willis showed off on Instagram. There’s also her much-debated shag carpet in the bathroom, and now a wall of mini chairs above her dining room table.

Moore and her family posted a video to Instagram during the holidays sharing how they played a game where you try to blow out a row of lit tealights just by saying “Merry Christmas.” Hilarious as the game was, it was hard not to be distracted by the little chairs hung just above them.

“I LOVE the chairs on the wall,” one person commented on the post. Another said, “I don’t know why you have little chairs on your wall … but … I lurrrve it.”

And someone else wrote, “Are the chairs really small or the people really big?!”

Some of these chairs may be meant for kids, and others could be for dolls, but some of Moore’s collection are likely salesman samples.

Just as the name suggests, salesman samples are miniature versions of actual pieces of furniture one could buy back in the late 19th and early 20th century. Salesmen would take these tiny replicas with them to retail stores or customers to show off the design and functionality of the larger item, which customers could order and have shipped to them later on.

Now, you can find these little pieces of furniture at antique stores and flea markets, with some items being more expensive than others. But all of them are equally adorable to look at.

Demi Moore’s home is all the inspiration you need for thinking outside the box when it comes to decor, and this mini chair gallery wall is definitely going to get your cogs turning.
