My Entryway Was Missing Something — Until I Found This Wall Art Gold Mine

My entryway has always looked pretty tragic. Last year, one of my roommates hung up a big, soulless abstract canvas piece that looked like it belonged in a dentist’s office. Before she moved out, she ripped it off the wall and, in the process, also damaged part of it. Our super painted over the blemish, but we were back to having a boring wall as a sad greeting every time we walked into our apartment.

My other roommate (the one who stayed) and I began browsing online for art to put up there. She sent me some links to prints from Desenio, and I agreed that the website had some pretty cute stuff. We were able to meet in the middle because we both like Matisse, and we selected one neutral print and one colorful print modeled after the artist’s famous paintings.

After we chose our prints, I selected two oak frames, which have shatterproof acrylic glass for durability. The shipments arrived packaged securely, and we were able to hang the prints immediately after receiving and framing them.

For one, I think it’s great that Desenio has collections from multiple famous painters. The brand also has a lot of trendy prints that I had fun looking at, and I debated getting some of those, too. But I figured I’d stick with classic and timeless prints, which is part of the reason that my roommate and I chose the Matisse ones.

After we framed our prints, we were happy to find that each one was fairly lightweight, meaning we could hang it with Command strips. We rent our apartment, so if we can avoid drilling nails into the walls, that’s always a plus. We placed one strip on each long side of the frames and pressed them to the wall for a minute. In the weeks since, the prints haven’t moved, and our entryway looks so much better.
