Crate & Barrel just dropped its Fall 2025 collection, and I’m surprisingly ready for the coziness and warmth I’m seeing in its color palette and materials (think: alabaster, pine, two-toned bouclé, and faux mohair). Sure, these fall decor trends might be more noticeable in the larger pieces, like the Contour Apartment Sofa or the Seraph Alabaster Table Lamp. But a lot of the “smalls,” or tabletop decorative accents and pieces, are just as striking.

Typically, when collections launch, hundreds of new items are available, which is a lot to sort through. To make your pre-fall shopping easier, I asked the pros what they’d buy with just $100 at Crate & Barrel. Here, you’ll see what made it into the carts of two designers, Michelle Gage, owner and creative director of Michelle Gage Interiors in Philadelphia, and designer Catherine Hooper, owner and lead designer of iSPY Home Design in the Hudson Valley, New York.

From stylish kitchen tools and linens to a particularly aesthetic tissue box cover, this is what designers are buying in Crate’s new collection on a fairly tight budget.

Isola Wide Red Marble Candle Holder
$33

With fall around the corner, why not stock up on pretty candle holders for some cozy indoor dinner parties? Marble truly never goes out of style, and it goes with both traditional and contemporary spaces so beautifully.

I love the low profile of this holder, so it won’t interfere with place settings or seeing people across the table. The stone’s creamy pink, clay, and white veining is so unusual and special. I could also see putting it on a mantel or nightstand for more unique placement, especially as the evenings get darker earlier.

Chord Small Blown Glass Bud Vase by Daniel Humm
$15

While I love a big floral bouquet, sometimes less is more, and this little glass bud vase is the perfect addition to any space. I love how a single dramatic stem looks at the center of a kitchen table, like a big sunflower or dahlia, but I could also see it working on a bathroom vanity with a small collection of lighter flowers such as baby’s breath. It’s clean, simple, and absolutely timeless.

Luzern Small Green Lacquer Decorative Tray
$40

I can never have enough trays. They’re so useful for storing mail, paperwork, and decorative items that you want to keep together. I’ll often put one on a dresser or console with a candle, a couple of books or magazines, and a keepsake from my client’s travels as a way to add decor without it feeling isolated.

Trays are also great for holding bathroom accessories on your vanity, like toothbrush holders, soap dishes, and cotton ball containers. I particularly love the mossy green color and lacquer finish of this one, which makes it really easy to clean. It’s cozy yet modern at the same time and at an excellent price point.

Marin Earth Brown EUROPEAN FLAX-Certified Linen Napkin
$14

Napkins are making a comeback — you’ve heard it here first! Linen napkins are everywhere and for good reason. They’re timeless, they look good even when they’re wrinkly, are soft to the touch, and are much more eco-conscious than paper napkins. Let’s just nix paper napkins all together, shall we?

These are wildly affordable for the quality of European flax and are easy to machine wash. While all the colors they offer are stunning, I’m particularly drawn to this Earth Brown color. It’s just a little more elegant and surprising than white and goes with every color plate — ivory, blue, black, pink, you name it!

Carmen Fluted White Marble Tissue Box
$65

If there is a cute tissue box out there, send it my way. Since a nice one truly doesn't exist, I’m in favor of covering it up! This fluted marble one is the perfect disguise.

Anchor Hocking TrueSeal 16-Piece Glass Food Storage Set
$80

To cut down on waste, I am a big fan of reusable containers. The teal lids of this glass set make it just a little bit more fun!

$80 at Crate & Barrel
Ninja Blast Max Portable Blender
$100

I love making a morning smoothie — and this mini blender is great for making a quick one while I'm still waking up. The ivory color looks lovely sitting on your kitchen counter.

$100 at Crate & Barrel
Wusthof Purple Yam 3.5-Inch Paring Knife
$95

One good knife is all you need — bonus points if that ONE is FUN! I love the pink, purple, and coral colors that this one comes in; these make cooking a little bit more colorful.
