It’s the weekend before Christmas, and if you’re anything like me, you still have some gift shopping to do. Hopefully you’ve figured out your most substantial gifts, but you likely have some smaller ones to handle in the days leading up to the 25th. Whether your friend group has a last-minute “Favorite Things” party, or you only just realized how much of your extended family is flying in this year, you’re going to have to figure out some gifts, and then you’re going to have to wrap them all. One way to make that easier? These pre-decorated Christmas tins from Dollar Tree that could fit cookies, ties, scarves, or any manner of holiday trinket.

What Are the Dollar Tree Christmas House Rectangular Tins?

For just $1.50 each, Dollar Tree is selling a variety of rectangular tins with holiday designs. Each tin comes with a matching lid adorned with ribbon tied in a bow at the top, so if you’re using it for gifting, your work is already halfway done. Why deal with easily wrinkled wrapping paper when you can present a sleek, festive tin at the gift exchange?

Of course, you still have to think of a gift to put in it, but that’s part of the fun. You can choose from at least five different designs, and each colorful pattern (featuring snowmen, penguins, Santas, and polar bears) resembles seasonal gift wrap.

An Alternative Gifting Tin to Shop

You can only get these particular tins with ribbon at Dollar Tree, but as an alternative, you can get a three-pack of festive tins with lids for $32 from Amazon. They don’t have any ribbon on them, but you can easily add some

They look taller and potentially bigger than the Dollar Tree tins, and the set comes with three different sizes of tin. You could use one for Christmas cookies, one for an assortment of festive stocking stuffers, and one to store all the ribbons, scissors, pens, and labels you end up hunting for every year it’s time to wrap gifts.

Not only will it feel satisfying to assemble your own custom gift box like this, it’s also far more useful than a shiny bag from the stationery store. If you receive this tin, you can use it for future holiday gifting, but you can also use it to store whatever you think should go in there. Pencils, makeup brushes, plastic silverware you’ve accumulated from delivery orders … There’s a lot you can do with the humble rectangle.
