When you live in a space with a small kitchen like I do, it’s no secret that you struggle to keep things like pantry items, spices, baking ingredients, and even cleaning supplies organized. For me, everything can quickly become chaotic, so I’m always looking for storage solutions to pack away as much clutter as possible in my small kitchen while maximizing on counter and cabinet space. That’s why I was excited when I recently saw an amazing storage hack to help organize kitchen essentials that uses items found at Dollar Tree. Plus, it only costs $3!

What Is This Dollar Tree Kitchen Storage Hack?

Creator Emma Villaneda (@Thecraftedstudioco) shared a video recently filled with an assortment of storage hacks, but one hack in particular instantly caught my eye. It involves taking one of the Dollar Tree’s Essential Adjustable Over-the-Counter Towel Bars and pairing it with one of the store’s Essential White Wire Dish Drying Racks to create an over-the-cabinet-door system ideal for tucking away items such as plastic wrap, baking paper, tin foil, and even kitchen towels.

All you need to do to make one of these systems for yourself is place your adjustable towel bar over the cupboard you wish to store your items in, then hook your dish rack over the bar to form a series of vertical shelves. Each rung of the dish rack is the perfect size to slide one of these products on to, though it’s best to keep them inside of their boxes so they’re less likely to roll off.

Why This Kitchen Storage Hack Is So Smart

This hack ticks all the boxes: It’s functional, simple, and won’t break the bank. I love how having this in the home will make kitchen staples so easy to find while also making the most out of dead space in the cupboard.

It was only today when I was tidying the kitchen and realized I didn’t have a home for my baking paper. It just went in a random cupboard or drawer wherever there was space. Then I remembered seeing this hack last night and instantly saw the appeal of implementing it in my home all over again.

Many viewers of the video felt this towel bar dish rack hack stood out as being amazing, saying: “The towel bar dish rack combo for the win!” and “The boxes eat up precious space in the cabinet. Say it with me … girlfriend is smart!”
