I love a brilliant storage hack, especially when it’s cute and super functional. The latest idea to catch my eye? Repurposing a kitchen drawer organizer as a wall storage gem instead. It’s simple, clever, and only takes a few tools to pull off.

Why You Need to Put a Drawer Organizer on Your Wall

You might find yourself thinking, “Why would anyone hang this on their wall?” Well, a kitchen drawer organizer makes the perfect jewelry display that can be mountable on your wall. Not only does this serve as stylish storage, but it also allows you to turn your accessories into decor.

Jewelry (especially necklaces) is notorious for getting tangled or lost. Chains wrap into impossible knots, and small pieces always seem to wander off, only to show up months later in the most unexpected places. That’s why using a drawer organizer is the perfect foundation for a wall-mounted jewelry display. The predivided sections offer built-in organization, so each item has a designated home. You can quickly see if something’s missing, and returning pieces to their spots becomes effortless.

One DIYer from Cozy DIY Home brought the idea to life with stylish results. The best part is that it’s completely customizable!

How to Make Your Own Wall-Mounted Jewelry Display

All you need to get started is a simple drawer organizer, a few hooks, and screws to mount it to the wall. Add hooks inside the organizer’s compartments wherever you’d like to hang your jewelry (make sure it is spaced out so nothing gets tangled). You can use two hooks in horizontal sections to hang bracelets or anklets, or individual hooks for rings and smaller pieces. Then, just screw the whole thing into the wall.

If you want to elevate it even further, there are so many easy ways to personalize it. Paint the tray, line the compartments with wallpaper, or add extra hooks along the base to hold keys and other everyday items. Small cabinet knobs can add a charming, homey touch, and if you’re a ring lover, you can glue or screw in a small ring holder (like this one available on Amazon) into one of the sections.
