Renter-Friendly DIYs and Color Drenching Transformed an All-White Loft
“I moved into this apartment after getting divorced, selling my house, and moving across the country. I was pretty much starting from scratch when it came to furniture, decor, and my whole outlook on life!” begins Elle.
That was two years ago, and Elle landed in this two-bedroom, 826-square-foot rental apartment located in Ferndale, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit. She describes the unit’s style before moving in as having an industrial vibe, and says that it was “all-white everything!”
Because she was beginning a new chapter of her life, she decided to lean into “everything that makes me happy and feels like me. I work from home full-time so I need my home to be a cheerful and inspiring space.”
Elle accomplished her style goals in the rental apartment by drenching it “in colors that make me happy and did renter-friendly DIYs to make it feel like mine.”
