This $190,000 TV Folds Up to Become a Sculpture
Most, if not all, televisions are made for a home living room, but one looks as though it belongs in a museum.
Austrian electronics brand C SEED has unveiled its latest model, the C SEED N1, which can fold and unfold into a sculpture. In the video below, the device looks like a sleek aluminum bench, but then slowly rises up and spreads its displays, revealing itself to be a futuristic TV.
Its other features are impressive, too. The base is made from aerospace aluminum, while the panels are built from 4K MicroLED with a special surface coating that enhances visuals and minimizes glare. Its screen also optimizes viewing experience by being able to rotate 180 degrees, and by reducing the visibility of the seams between the panels using their Adaptive Gap Calibration tech. For the audio, the set has an integrated sound system with twin 100-watt broadband speakers.
However, since the product resembles a modern artwork, its price tag is similar. The N1 starts at $190,000 for the 103-inch model.
“We operate on the top end of the high-end market,” said CEO Alexander Swatek. “Many of our clients collect art, all appreciate latest media technology, and all demand a visual quality that complies with highly refined interior design, be it classic, modern, or totally avant garde.”
