My grandma is nearly 100 (please don’t tell her I told you that — she looks 30 years younger), and as she’s gotten older she’s also become more of a minimalist. As inspiring as that is, it also makes it trickier to think of things she’d like whenever a gift-giving holiday rolls around. With Grandparents’ Day right around the corner (September 7 this year), a good gift idea is top of mind.

So I tapped my fellow Apartment Therapy editors to ask what they’ve gotten for their grandparents and grandparent figures that they’ve absolutely loved. Here are seven ideas to inspire your own shopping — because as much as they say all they want is time with their grandchildren, it can feel like a huge win to get them something tangible they love, too.

Monthly Farm-Fresh Flower Subscription
$48

“I once got my grandmother a monthly fresh cut flower subscription from Bouqs — she loved getting fresh flowers each month. She was bedridden at the time, so having a beautiful surprise arrive in the mail each month that could be displayed on her bedside table really brought her joy in a way that she appreciated so much,” says Editor-in-Chief Charli Penn. “She told me that many times. You can customize the frequency and size of the deliveries too, which is so nice, and they arrived not yet fully bloomed so they really last.”

Grandkids Work of Art Sign
$43

If you have grandparents in your life whose pride and joy is the artwork of their grandchildren or great-grandchildren, get them something to put their favorite masterpieces on display. “My brother got my parents an artwork display board and they looooved it,” says Shopping Writer Alexa Casanova. “They hang my niece and nephew's crafts from it, handmade cards, etc.!” If you don’t have time to wait for Etsy shipping, you can also shop a similar item on Amazon.

Twirl Bodysuit Dress
$36

“I recently got my mom a set of matching shirts for her, me, and my daughter from Kyte Baby — she was so excited when she figured out why the bag had three of the same thing in it!” says Home Projects Director Megan Baker Detloff. “We all took a matching photo together. Huge hit!”

If your grandparent is always asking to see new photos of you and your life, an Aura frame is quite literally the gift that keeps on giving. While it looks like a typical landscape frame, it’s actually a digital display ready to put on a personalized slideshow — just add your photos to frame through the Aura app (as many as you’d like). You can even add videos for an extra-sweet touch. “My grandma is obsessed with the Aura frame!” says Contributing Writer Nicole Lund.

Koolaburra by UGG Wiona Melange Sherpa Throw
$40$25

“My 94-year-old grandmother is always complaining about the cold, so I bought her this super-soft throw blanket last year,” says Shopping Writer Megan Gray. “She uses it every day, and I know it’s something she wouldn’t buy herself.” The Lola Blanket is another editor-loved, ultra-cozy throw blanket with a ton of fun colorways, if you’re looking for options.

What I Love about Grandma Journal
$10

If even the sappiest card just isn’t cutting it, consider giving your grandma a whole book dedicated to telling her exactly what you love about her, from what she’s best at to your favorite memories together. There’s a version for grandpas too, of course, or even a more general “What I Love About You” edition.

Upload Childs Drawing Turn Kids Artwork to Apron
$30$24

Turn your grandparents’ favorite drawings into art they can wear with this adorable apron from Zazzle. A hand-drawn family portrait or illustration of a special memory would be especially sweet. Lifestyle Editor Lizzy Francis says her sister-in-law has been doing this for the grandparents via Cece Dupraz. “My mom got an apron, my dad got a hat,” she says. “The kids do the drawings and it’s really cute.”
