Gina’s Vintage Bohemian Home Atop the Shop
Name: Gina, Nathan and Taylor, Winston and Steven (the cats), Lucy (the dog)
Location: Santa Barbara, CA
Size: 1500 Square Feet
Years lived in: 7 Months— Rent
Gina Comin has created an eclectic and warm home that she shares with her boyfriend and son, which just happens to be located above her fun and eccentric vintage store Cominichi’s. With artwork, jewelry, antiques and furniture from around the world, her home is both inviting and the ultimate bohemian abode.
Considering that Cominichi’s, which is filled with vendors bringing in the best of Santa Barbara’s vintage, is right downstairs, it’s not a surprise that Gina’s home is a wonderfully distilled-down continuation of the style of the store. The architecture is part of the package – there are huge french doors and windows that allow incredible natural light, hardwood floors and bright colored walls that add to the ambiance. Guitars, throw pillows and collected bottles are just some of the elements of Gina’s own style of home nostalgia. One thing I loved most was the glass half full labeled “Love & Gratitude” and the ledge of crystals that line the window.
