Why You Should Put a Hose Holder Inside Your House (It’s So Brilliant!)
As a big fan of the thrift store, I love finding items that have the ability to double up as something else. These “charity shop treasure hunts” have altered my brain in a good way, so anytime I see something lovely while there I think about how else it can be used beyond its intended purpose. That’s when my latest idea hit me: using a decorative hose holder inside the home.
Why You Need a Hose Holder Inside Your House
A hose holder, or hose butler, can be incredibly versatile when it comes to storage. Plus, there’s an enormous amount of different styles to choose from. It’s essentially another form of a shelf, differing from a hose reel, as it uses a flat surface to wrap a hose around and not a reel.
I can already envision these working so well in so many different areas of the home, but these are my favorite ideas.
Store your records.
A round hose butler like this one from Amazon would be perfect to store your records. The circular shape mimics the shape of a vinyl, and the rack is large enough to gather together quite a lot in one place, which makes it an effective storage solution and not just something decorative.
Keep dinner placemats together.
Similarly, this round hose holder would also be ideal for storing placemats when not in use. Imagine how seamlessly a hose butler would be incorporated into dinner setup if one were to be used in this way: You simply walk over to the unique storage piece, and take them out. It’s for sure going to provide a talking point, and it’s a great way to display your tableware too.
Give your small throw blankets a home.
Throw blankets on the smaller side would be able to hang from the sections of this cast iron hose holder, or they could stack together neatly rolled up or folded. I love how charming the bird motifs are, and there are four different species of birds you can choose from.
Store your books and magazines.
Are you a fellow bookworm like myself looking for something a little different to showcase your collection? Look no further than this freestanding hose holder. The rectangular basket at the top would easily hold lots of magazines or your current reads, and the ledge at the bottom is durable enough to hold a hefty stack of books.
Create a spice rack.
This hose butler is on the smaller size, but that’s what makes it incredible for slotting into even the busiest of kitchens. The average spice jar won’t fall through the holes (if they do, sitting a placemat on the base will do the trick), and the hose butler could even double as a hanging space for a few kitchen utensils.
Elevate your entryway storage.
Last (but not least), there’s this multifunctional hose holder which would take any entryway in need of storage up a level. The hose caddy could keep scarves and belts detangled, the bottom ledge could hold a basket to collect mail, and the two hooks are ideal for hanging up a couple of your most-used coats. The sphere between the hooks could also hang up some jewelry or a work lanyard. The opportunities are endless!
