IKEA fans who live far away from the Swedish megastore might now be in luck, though, because IKEA just announced that it’s launching a partnership with Best Buy (that even includes a free pickup option in some locations!).
What Does the Best Buy and IKEA Partnership Mean?
Starting in the fall, people at certain Best Buy locations in the United States will be able to one-stop-shop the tech giant’s appliances as well as IKEA’s fan-loved home furnishings without making the trip to their closest IKEA (or paying shipping fees).
Ten Best Buy stores in Florida and Texas will put up a 1,000-square-foot showroom-like space combining IKEA and Best Buy products in kitchen and laundry prototypes. That means that while you’re shopping popular IKEA kitchen cabinets, buffet storage, and even fridge organizers, you’ll also see appliances like Best Buy fridges, stoves, and laundry machines integrated within.
Not only will this help you better imagine your dream kitchen or laundry room come to life, but you can also get help from both IKEA and Best Buy employees to figure out how to set up your home. According to the press release, you’ll also be able to order IKEA furnishings to pick up from these stores, which is a great option if you want to pick items up sooner or avoid annoying delivery windows.

Hopefully they expand this option to all of these locations and continue to expand their partnership!
