If you have holiday entertaining plans on the horizon, you may be looking at your current dinnerware and thinking, yikes. If your plates are chipped, scratched, and generally looking worse for wear, then it might be time to treat yourself to an upgrade before guests arrive. IKEA is acting as a not-so-secret Santa this year because it just released its best-selling dinnerware set in a brand-new seasonless color that you’ll love styling for the holidays as much as you will for summer dinner parties next year.

What Is IKEA’s FÄRGKLAR Set?

IKEA’s FÄRGKLAR dinnerware is a beloved 18-piece set that’s basic enough for everyday use but also clean and elegant for special occasions. And now you can grab the FÄRGKLAR in a gorgeous light blue.

The plates and bowls in the set have been glazed to create a creamy, natural rim with the blue focused in the center, giving them an artisan-made appearance. They’re so simple, yet the blue makes them feel special — all your meals are about to taste that much better (you eat with your eyes, too, after all!).

The new FÄRGKLAR set also comes in a light, lilac-leaning pink, but there’s a seasonless quality about the blue that makes it such a good buy. Pair it with warm oranges, rusts, and browns to bring your table setting into fall, or lighten things up with bright greens, pinks, and yellows for warmer months. It’s a bit more interesting than just plain white, and the reviews are in: The blue is a hit.

“While it is a classic style, it brings a different touch to the table,” one person wrote in their IKEA review. “I love the material and the color. It’s worth noting that it fits in the dishwasher.”

And another person said, “Beautiful tableware with a very pretty color, very elegant, brightens any table.”

I wouldn’t be surprised if the IKEA FÄRGKLAR set sells out fast. If so, consider the Famiware Saturn dinnerware set from Amazon, which comes in a similar blue-and-glaze style. It comes with 12 pieces and is a bit more modern in its shape, with deeper plates. You can also get an 18-piece set in this colorway, but you’ll have to spend over $100 for the extra place setting.

A pop of color can go a long way on your table, especially when entertaining, and this new FÄRGKLAR set from IKEA will leave a lasting impression long after the meal is finished. Grab it now for just under $60 ahead of your holiday entertaining plans.
