Living in an apartment often means limited outdoor living space. If you’re lucky enough to have a small balcony or patio attached to your home, you might only have room for a couple of chairs, a side table, and a few potted plants. Finding furniture scaled for small patios, balconies, and decks can be tricky, but not at IKEA

A go-to for budget-friendly decor in the warmer months, IKEA is also a hotbed of outdoor designs that allow you to transform a small exterior space into a backyard oasis. The Swedish superstore has just launched an outdoor table that can make outdoor dinner parties a possibility.

IKEA just introduced the narrowest patio table

Like all of the pieces in the NÄMMARÖ collection, the new NÄMMARÖ Folding Table ($149) is constructed from solid acacia wood treated to withstand rain, sun, and other harsh outdoor elements. But what makes this outdoor table so unique, though, is its fold-down design and narrow silhouette.

The table can fold down flat (almost like an oversized TV tray) and while folded it can be hung on hooks attached to an exterior wall. It’s also compact enough to store in a small closet when not in use. And at just 14×42 inches, this table is also quite slim, so it can be used as a side table, buffet, or a dining table for two or three people on the narrowest balconies. With its sleek, foldable design, the NÄMMARÖ Folding Table is an ideal outdoor dining table for small spaces.

If you decide the NÄMMARÖ Folding Table is right for your space, there are dozens of other pieces in the NÄMMARÖ series that it can coordinate with; for example, you could complete your outdoor dining set up with a couple of the NÄMMARÖ Folding Stools ($35) or the NÄMMARÖ Folding Chairs ($65). Or, if the table is just a touch too big for your small space, IKEA has other, smaller solutions, such as the DJUPÖN Folding Table ($129), which has more of a bartop feel.

Round it out with outdoor tablescape essentials like the SOLVINDEN Battery-Operated Table Lamp ($15), STRANDFLOKA Table-Runner ($10), and a few small potted plants (psst: IKEA sells live ones for cheap).
