Who’s ready for their most colorful holiday season yet? IKEA has teamed up with Stockholm-based designer Gustaf Westman — who is known for creating playful, structural, and distinctly modern designs — to release 12 new pieces for the retailer’s upcoming VINTERFINT collection update. Each decor piece is more bold, bright, and beautiful than the last. These unique pieces bring a fresh take to IKEA’s holiday collections and are perfect for the season, but are also designed to be used throughout your home year-round.

What’s Included in the IKEA x Gustaf Westman Collection?

Inspired by classic Scandinavian design, Westman puts a curvy and colorful spin on classic pieces for this collection. His designs are simple yet stand out, thanks to their sculptural design. (It’s also Westman’s first time collaborating with another brand, IKEA said.)

“For me, this was an opportunity to take traditional holiday decor aesthetics and turn it on its head, instead, introducing a sense of playfulness and boldness,” Westman said in a press release. “This is my interpretation of the holidays; it’s a new design for a new generation.”

Standout pieces from the collaborative collection include this bright blue meatball tray that frames one of the most iconic celebratory treats in Sweden. “For many people in Sweden, there’s no Christmas — and no IKEA — without meatballs,” Westman said. His uniquely shaped serving tray is not only ideal for meatballs, but could also be used for other small savory treats or sweets throughout the season.

Westman designed a bouncy pink wire-style vase for your holiday tablescape, as well as interesting candlestick holders that are far from traditional and available in bright red or bold powder blue.

The collection will also include bold and colorful plates, cups and saucers, tealight holders, and decorative table lamps, all designed to bring family together at the table, “regardless of how that family looks,” Westman said. The color palette is far from traditional, with pinks and blues at the forefront, accented by dark green and red.

Prices start at just $6.99, and there are a total of 12 items to shop before they’re gone. Everything will be available for purchase in store and online on October 1, so you can enjoy your new IKEA x Gustaf Westman pieces throughout the entire fall and winter season. It looks like Christmas came early for Scandinavian decor lovers, and it’s the best one ever!
