IKEA Is Selling a Viral $40 Lamp Shaped Like an Unexpected Household Item (It’s Cute!)

If you’re looking for another piece that’ll really turn heads, IKEA has just introduced the STRÅLA LED floor lamp, which is going viral for how whimsical it is. 

The IKEA STRÅLA lamp is an LED floor or table light fixture that looks like a bundle of three matchsticks. The red tips emit a moody glow that can be dimmed, and the unfinished pine wood really sells the matchstick design (it makes the lamp feel a bit more elevated than if it were just plastic). It stands approximately 26 inches tall and 13 inches wide, and it’s already gaining traction on TikTok.

TikTok user @lavie_desdoux picked up one of these lamps at the Paramus, New Jersey, IKEA location, but it will likely roll out to other stores soon.

“Waiting impatiently for it to be near me,” one person wrote in a comment under @lavie_desdoux’s post. Another person said, “I cannot express how much I need this.”

And although the lamp looks like it might set you back a bit of money (it looks like an expensive sculptural piece!), it only costs $40. It’s not currently available for shipping in multiple areas, but you can check the IKEA website to see if you can purchase it for in-store pickup or delivery.
