Creating a dedicated drop zone in my tiny entryway had been on my to-do list for months. With limited space, I knew I needed a thoughtful entryway solution that would add storage without sacrificing any square footage. This high-traffic area connects to the garage, a storage closet, and the laundry room, so disrupting the flow wasn’t an option. But the growing pile of jackets, hats tossed over the laundry door, and shoes piling up was starting to really frustrate me.

After some brainstorming, I realized the key was to maximize the vertical wall space. The perfect solution came when my husband brought home this $18 hanger from IKEA. Once I saw it, I knew it was exactly what the space needed.

What Is the IKEA TJUSIG Hanger?

The IKEA TJUSIG Hanger is a sleek, wall-mounted organizer with six offshoots. It provides a smart storage solution for things like coats, jackets, hats, purses, and umbrellas in small spaces. The hanger is made from solid wood, measures 31 inches tall and 7.5 inches wide, and comes in black and birch white acrylic finishes. Its minimalist design is both functional and stylish, which makes it easy to adapt to various home aesthetics. Plus, you can even stack multiple hangers on top of each other to maximize vertical storage in entryways or other tight spots.

Why I Love Using the IKEA TJUSIG Hanger in My Entryway

I love how the IKEA TJUSIG Hanger is sturdy and blends seamlessly into our entryway. Its compact design holds a surprising amount of items without overwhelming the space. The offshoots are spaced perfectly, which makes it easy to hang and grab items quickly. We’re now able to store everything from jackets and bags to umbrellas and shoes in our high-traffic entryway — all while keeping the space organized and tidy.

I paired the hanger with a slim shoe cabinet from GiraTree and a wall-mounted key holder for sunglasses, keys, and wallets.

Can’t Get It at IKEA? Here’s an Alternative Rack to Shop

If you don’t live near an IKEA, don’t worry! There’s a nearly identical version on Amazon. It’s 39 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide, and it also comes in black and white. While it’s priced at $59 (a little more than the IKEA option), it’s still an affordable alternative that brings the same function and style.
