As IKEA closes out summer with the launch of new fall blankets, cozy throw pillows, and pumpkin-shaped glassware, a fan-favorite storage product is quietly getting the axe. It’s now your last chance to get IKEA’s viral TRUMFISK jar —the covetable clear glass container that deserves a place in every room of your home — as the storage hero will be discontinued once the current stock sells out.

If you’re not familiar, IKEA’s TRUMFISK jar — which costs $1.49 each for a 10-ounce container or $1.99 for the 14-ounce version — is one of the retailer’s most popular small-space storage finds for good reason. Despite their wee size (they start at 3.5 inches in length and 3.5 inches in width), these adorable jars are so versatile.

How I Use My IKEA TRUMFISK Jars

With the help of ÖVERMÄTT stretchy silicone food covers, I use mine to store turmeric shots, homemade sauces, overnight oats, chilled espresso, and spice blend experiments, as well as homemade jams and salsas in my fridge (the microwave-safe tempered glass is also great for easy reheating).

However, they’re much more than a food container (although they’ve completely transformed my pantry). I also use them to mix different foundation colors depending on how tan I am during the summer and several essential oil blends for my diffuser. Meanwhile, a few of these multifaceted glasses are perched on my dresser with bobby pins, fashion tape, jewelry, and smaller perfume samples arranged inside. In my office, I’ve got one for pens and stamps. Head over to the living room, and you’ll find several filled with potpourri and matches.

You can also use them as a hosting essential to serve your guests individual desserts, or fill them with small pillar candles and dried flowers to brighten up your dining table. Crafters can also fill them with thread, needles, beads, or other supplies. In short, these versatile glasses can be used all over your home.

Unfortunately, both the 10-ounce and the 14-ounce version of the TRUMFISK jar have been marked as “last chance to buy,” meaning it’s only a matter of time before they’re no longer available at IKEA. However, there are plenty of rave reviews online — one IKEA shopper called the “study” product their “new favorite glass,” while many others applauded the “cute and easy to clean” design.

Only time will tell whether IKEA brings back a similar design with a few upgrades (perhaps a matching cover?), but you won’t want to wait on grabbing a few of these glass gems for your home.
