Joanna Gaines’ Newest Launch Has Fans Reacting to Whimsical Designs: “So Delicate”
Do you pride yourself on being a true grandmillennial? If your aesthetic falls somewhere in the realm of English country cottage meets rustic farmhouse meets vintage cottagecore, then you’re going to love the new dinnerware Joanna Gaines just launched for her home brand, Magnolia.
In a nod to the massively popular floral motif used in her fall and winter collections, Gaines’ spring Magnolia collection includes a new dinnerware set with mugs, plates, bowls, and other ceramics adorned in the same antique-esque print. The aesthetic is hard to ignore — these items feel like they were pulled straight out of a 1950s china hutch. They’re so sweet, and the brand-new colorway is both timeless and seasonless.
Joanna Gaines’ Magnolia Floral Print Is “Classic and Traditional”
“So this is a pattern that we have loved,” Gaines said in a recent video posted to her Instagram page. “The first color we introduced in the fall was green. During the holidays, it was red. And now for spring, we’re launching this beautiful blue. I just love how classic and traditional this is.”
The Heirloom Garden plates, which are available in both dinner and salad varieties, feature stunning floral transfers that look similar to transferware pieces from the early 20th century. And the rich navy color is just so stunning. It’s dark and moody enough to use in colder months, but the floral motifs translate to spring and summer, too.
Another vintage element Gaines brought into the Heirloom Garden line is scalloping and fluting. The texture appears on mugs and pieces like this mixing and serving bowl, which would be great for salads and sides. “The scallop — look how sweet the details are,” Gaines said in her video.
Even though it looks delicate, this bowl (and the rest of the Heirloom Garden line) is made from durable stoneware, so it’s microwave- and dishwasher-safe — and real heirloom antiques just can’t compete with that!
You can also pick up a two-piece place setting, which comes with both a dinner and a salad plate, in the gorgeous navy floral motif. Each setting is $45.
You can shop the entire Heirloom Garden collection, including some of the remaining pieces from the red colorway, on Gaines’ Magnolia website. Other standout pieces include a scalloped mug, a utensil crock, and a set of ceramic measuring cups that are currently on sale for just $25. The perfect vintage-inspired plate does exist, and of course it was Joanna Gaines who made it!
