Name: Kay Rozynski
Location: Lower East Side New York, NY

I am a design student/amateur designer and this is my studio apartment on the Lower East Side of New York. Just under 400 square feet, I tried to define a clear living, sleeping and dining space without the use of any dividers so I can keep an open and airy flow.

I did everything with a very small budget and the bulk of my money was spent on my mattress and down topper. I made the headboard from plywood that I cut, batted, and upholstered.

The nightstands are actually from IKEA, that I painted and stained and added new hardware to.

The couch I got for $100 on craigslist, the Eames chairs I bought on Ebay (the shells and the bases separately and figured out how to attach them), the island I got on Craigslist for another $100 and I painted the kitchen wall in chalkboard. All of the art is from Society6.

Thanks, Kay!
