I Finally Replaced My Mismatched Wine Glasses with This Gorgeous Set (It’s on Sale!)
I’ve cycled through a bunch of different drinkware in the past couple of years, and none of the glasses have ever matched. When you live with other people, everyone brings in their own bar cart accessories, so for a long time, I had vessels of all different shapes, sizes, and even colors. After a while, I got tired of hosting friends at my place and having to serve their wine in the wrong kinds of glasses. Sometimes, I’d run out and have to use coffee mugs, which is just ridiculous.
About five months ago, I decided enough was enough and set out to find a proper wine glass set. I saw that Lenox had a lot of nice-looking sets, though the one I liked most based on looks alone was the Tuscany Classics straight wine glass set. I reached out to the brand, who sent me a set, and I finally feel like a real grown-up, all thanks to this one little upgrade.
What Is the Tuscany Classics Straight Wine Glass Set?
These chic glasses come in a set of six and are made of European glass. They have a 12-ounce capacity and are made for white wine, which is perfect for me because I don’t really drink red wine. (Although, if you’re a red wine drinker, there’s also a set for that.) Despite their thin stems and bowls, the glasses feel durable and have held up well in the months since I got them. They arrived without any hiccups, packaged carefully in styrofoam to avoid damage.
What drew me to these glasses was their straight-edge design. As you can see, they don’t curve at the base of the bowl like standard wine glasses. Instead, they have a modern design that elevates any dining spread. As for care, I just hand-wash the glasses and let them air-dry. You definitely don’t want to put these in the dishwasher.
Why I Love the Tuscany Classics Straight Wine Glass Set
I’ve gotten so many compliments on these glasses from my roommates and friends. Everyone who sees them agrees that they look so sleek and elegant, so I’m super happy with my choice. Personally, I hate a short, chunky wine glass. At nearly 9 inches tall, these glasses have an almost sculptural aesthetic, and their thin stems make them feel light.
I also like that these come in a set of six. At first I thought I wanted four glasses because I have a small kitchen and not a ton of cabinet space. But now, I’m happy I got six because it means I have enough glasses when hosting. I keep four in the cabinet above my kitchen sink with the rest of my glassware. The other two glasses are tucked away in a higher cabinet with some dishware I don’t use that often, and I can still easily grab them if I happen to need them.
Although I was gifted this set by Lenox, I would totally spend my own money on it if I had to. Normally priced at $72, the set of six is currently marked down to $50, which is a great value for the quality, aesthetic, and number of glasses you get. If your own drinkware collection could use a refresh, look no further than these sophisticated, durable glasses.
