Danielle Ribner is the founder of Loup, a Parisian-inspired women’s wear collection collection that focuses on well-made wardrobe staples that hearken back to the refined taste and simplicity of vintage styles. And they’ve also become well known for their exceptional fit of their clothing items, which range from tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, and more. Started in 2009, Loup is also noteworthy for being made entirely in New York City and available for purchase around the world.

Phrases like effortlessly elegant and simply chic come to mind when seeing Danielle’s designs, and it’s a look that translates beautifully to the Brooklyn apartment she currently resides in and works from. She shares the space with her boyfriend, bar owner Nino Cirabisi of Bonnie Vee, who’s actually lived in the space for 15 years! Similar to her collection, the space has been decorated with a New York meets Paris aesthetic. It’s minimal and modern, but with many nods to vintage details. It highlights the architecture of the space. And like a good basic you want to wear over and over again, you can tell this is a space you can relax into everyday.

Apartment Therapy Survey:

Our Style: Mid-century combined with French Countryside

Inspiration: Eclectic apartments in Paris

Favorite Element: The size and old details like moldings and French doors with poured glass windows

Biggest Challenge: Maintaining a 100-year-old apartment

What Friends Say: That the apartment is huge!

Biggest Embarrassment: The space is old and painted over many times, so some of the doors don’t close all the way and there is a lot of wear and tear.

Proudest DIY: Nursing our braided ficus tree back to good health

Biggest Indulgence: A vintage robin’s egg blue wine cage

Best Advice: If you haven’t made a permanent space for something, get rid of it. You wont miss it when it’s gone.

Dream Sources: Any vintage warehouse, ideally with tons of Francois-Xavier Lalanne
