Because IKEA furniture is so affordable, I sometimes forget the retailer is a great place to score fashion-forward pieces, too. But my colleagues here at Apartment Therapy are the ultimate IKEA sleuths, constantly finding under-the-radar gems and convincing dupes and calling out products to shop before they become discontinued.

Just recently, we spotlighted a chic rattan serving cart at IKEA that’s being slowly phased out. At $100, it’s already relatively budget-friendly. But I got to looking for others online, and I found another one that’s arguably even better — not to mention $40 cheaper. You probably won’t be surprised to hear that it’s from Marshalls, one of the best stores for low-cost home decor that looks designer.

What Is the Wheeled Bar Cart?

Like the LUBBAN serving cart from IKEA, this Marshalls cart is made of a woven material that looks like rattan. As its name states, it has two out-turned side handles at the top and four caster wheels that make it easy to move between rooms. Whereas the IKEA cart is round, however, this one has a more contemporary rectangle shape. At 31.5 inches tall and 30.5 inches wide, the Marshalls cart is also bigger than the IKEA version but still good for small spaces.

In addition to its spacious surface, the Marshalls cart has a matching undershelf. You can use them to store any number of items, from your liquor collection and mixology tools to crafting supplies and office essentials.

Why You’ll Love the Wheeled Bar Cart

If you like a boho or natural home aesthetic, the wheeled bar cart will help enhance that vibe in whichever room you place it. Its rattan frame is so much more eye-catching than that of your standard metal bar cart. Although it’s both wider and taller than the IKEA cart, it’ll still fit in a small corner of your living room or even in a tight bathroom if you need somewhere to store skincare and hair tools. Really, there’s no room in which this cart wouldn’t be helpful.

Also, for $60, this fashion-forward storage solution is a great bargain. You get more surface space for storage than with the IKEA cart, which is $100. Really, snagging this cute wheeled number is a no-brainer!

The one issue you might’ve experienced while shopping on Marshalls’ website is that the retailer’s inventory tends to sell out fast, especially when products are so reasonably priced. Don’t let this versatile storage piece pass you by, especially now that summer hosting season is almost here!
