I’ve only ever bought white bath towels. They’re classic! Even if I change up my bathroom’s color scheme, they go with everything and won’t need replacing — but more importantly, I’ve always found them easier to care for. One argument against white towels is that they show grime more easily, but my rebuttal is that you can spot and get rid of it more easily. Add a little bleach in the wash, and they’ll look as good as new.

As much as I stand by my white-towels-only rule, I felt like I was missing out on all of the fun and colorful options out there, but I knew it would take a real standout for me to go in a different direction — and I found it at Weezie. The brand’s collaboration with interior designer Meg Braff resulted in one of the most gorgeous towels I’ve ever seen, complete with a perfect-for-spring scallop border and coastal print. As one of my softest towels, it also has a spa-like feel that has me hurrying to wash it so I can use it again and again.

What Is the Meg Braff x Weezie Scallop Bath Towel?

Including everything from towels to toiletry cases, Weezie’s recent Meg Braff collection draws inspiration from Palm Beach, splashing Braff’s vibrant Madame Butterfly print across multiple products. The towels especially have an elevated, poolside glamour to them, patterned with clusters of fronds in either sage green or cornflower blue.

It also comes as a single 29- by 58-inch, long-staple cotton bath towel, hand towel set, or six-piece set, all with reversible colors and wavy edges. For a little extra, you can put your own personal touch on it with the monogram feature, and you can take advantage of the hanging loop to keep it secure on your towel hook.

Also, I’m not the only fan of Weezie on the Apartment Therapy team. “At $88 for a single bath sheet, though, not even the idea of an extra large, fluffy towel had me completely sold — until I tried them,” writes contributor Olivia Muenter in her review of the bath towel’s larger counterpart. “As soon as I first used that big cozy bath sheet, I knew I had been doing things wrong all my life.” I couldn’t have said it better myself!

Why I Love the Meg Braff x Weezie Scallop Bath Towel

It was love at first sight with the Scallop Bath Towel — even when I was just viewing it on a screen. It turned out even better once I actually got my hands on it. All things scalloped are an instant hit with me, but the vibrant blue color and exciting print are just as worthy of admiration. From where it hangs on my towel hook outside of my shower, it makes my drab, windowless bathroom feel a little more sunshiney. And I can reverse the color to mostly blue or mostly white whenever I want!

Once I discovered its functionality is equal to its beauty — I expected nothing less having owned Weezie’s scallop bath mat for months — I became even more impressed. The long staple cotton feels as luxurious as I would expect given its price tag. I’ve tested some high-end, fluffy towels over the past couple of years in this gig, and it’s on the same level as my favorite from Cozy Earth. Right now, I would rank them both equally in terms of softness and absorbency.

Since it’s like an art piece in my bathroom, I’m extra careful with this towel, so I haven’t had to get any stains out yet. There aren’t any signs of wear after about a month. It’s held up well after several washes, and based on my experience with Weezie’s bath mat, I have a feeling I’m going to be reaching for this bath towel for a while.
