Over 400 Plants Turned This Atlanta Loft into a “Botanical Sanctuary”
“I am very big on energy and the power of intentional design,” begins Najah Bradley, who has owned this 1,060-square-foot loft-style condominium in Atlanta since 2002. She calls her home the “Botanical Wonderloft,” and describes the space as an “urban jungle that is not only welcoming, but is a genuine look into my heart, soul, and mind.”
“When you walk in it feels like a cool bar, coffee shop, or a library lounge with the sole purpose of helping you unwind and unlock the most creative parts of yourself while nourishing your mentality,” Najah continues. “Every corner of my home offers something interesting that speaks to you, which is probably why I skew toward maximalist, boho, and colorful. Although, I believe I’ve created my own category … a Botanical sanctuary.”
Of course, Najah’s loft didn’t look like that before she moved in; she described the one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo as a “basic, bland” space. Though on the smaller side, the unit came with a loft that could be used as a second bedroom, but which Najah uses as a home office. That’s not the only way she personalized her space, though.
Najah has painted, modified furniture, and added wall fixtures. “Once COVID hit, I realized I wouldn’t be able to renovate like I wanted to so I decided to make the most of the space as is, and I couldn’t be more proud of how it all turned out,” she writes.
The most important thing that Najah advises to do when decorating your home is to be intentional. “If it brings you joy, do it!” she writes. “Also, prioritize functionality. Your home should facilitate a full body and mind recharge so you can be your best self in this world.”
